We always treat your personal data with care. We take care of it and keep it safe. What we do with your personal data and why we need them is explained here. If you have any questions after reading our privacy policy, please feel free to contact us.

This privacy policy may change from time to time as new developments give rise to it. The most recent privacy policy can be found at www.alphaess.be. We advise you to consult this privacy policy regularly in order to keep abreast of any changes. You will always see the most recent date of change.

This privacy policy was last amended on August 21, 2020.

Who is responsible for processing my personal data?

Iinno-benelux BV (alphaess.be), located at Henri Dunantlaan 23, 3500 Hasselt, Belgium is responsible for the processing of data as described in this privacy policy.

When does this privacy policy apply?

This privacy policy applies to all personal data that alphaess.be processes from anyone who has (had) contact with alphaess.be, such as our visitors, customers and business contacts, on all alphaess.be related domains.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information that can be traced back to you as an individual. Think of your name, phone number, address or email address. Data such as your IP address or iinno-benelux customer number are also personal data. And other data that are unique to you, such as your iinno-benelux order history or surfing behaviour.

Who do we process personal data from and how do we obtain this data?

We process the personal data of everyone who has (had) direct or indirect contact with alphaess.be, such as (business) clients and contact persons of partners.

We receive the data directly from you when you visit our website, subscribe to our newsletter and fill in certain details or when you contact our customer service.

We may also receive information from other parties, but only if you have given those parties permission to provide us with certain information.

What data do we process from you, what do we use it for and how long is it stored?

Data for sending our newsletter

If you sign up to receive our newsletter, we need certain information from you to be able to send this newsletter to you and to keep you informed about novelties.

For this purpose we collect your name and e-mail address.

At any time you can request to have your data removed.

Information about your contact with the customer service

You can contact customer service 24/7. You can call, email or chat with us or send a message via social media, such as Facebook and Instagram. We use the information stored in your account to contact you in response to your query to us.

We can help you more quickly the next time you visit us by saving your data. We will therefore keep notes on customer contact with us and with our sales partners for as long as you are an active customer of ours.

Marketing data
Personalized ads

We, our ad networks and media agencies may show you ads on alphaess.be and other websites. This is done on the basis of your previous visits to our websites and the websites of third parties. Your surf, search and purchasing behaviour are collected on the basis of cookie techniques, your IP address and the advertisement number that is linked to the device you are using to surf. We only do this if you have given us permission to place cookies. Cookies have a limited retention period.

In your mailbox

In some cases, you may receive a letter or package from us to show our appreciation for you as a customer. We are cautious about sending mail: you will only receive a letter or package in special cases. Based on your purchases and visit history or your customer contact with us or our sales partners, we can decide whether you should receive a letter or package. If you do not wish to receive mail from us, you may object. See "What Rights Can You Exercise With Respect To Your Information".

Data from customer surveys

We are constantly improving our services to better meet the needs of our customers. Therefore, we may use your information (customer ID and e-mail address) to invite you to participate in a customer or market survey. We may also have these surveys carried out by third parties. In this way you help us to become even better. Participation in a customer or market survey is completely voluntary. You decide whether you want to participate in the survey. How long your data linked to the results of the customer or market survey are kept varies per survey. We remove all data that can be traced back to you as soon as the survey has been completed.

Data for reviews & Q&A

When we post a testimonial, the customer has given their prior consent as to whether their personal details or name will be visible to other visitors. We only post reviews with your permission. Because reviews are valuable to customers for a long time, we keep a review until you ask us to remove it or until the review is removed by us according to the review conditions.

Information for contests and actions

If you take part in a promotion or competition, we will ask you for information such as your name, address and/or e-mail address. We need this information to perform the action and to announce the winner(s). We collect this information with your permission. If you agree to this, we may also use the information that you share with us during a promotion or competition for other purposes. You can read exactly what we use your details for and how long we keep them for at the relevant competition or campaign.

Data for combating fraud

Nobody wants security incidents and fraud, including us. That is why we use personal data (including IP addresses and search, surf and purchase behaviour) to investigate, prevent and combat unauthorised access and fraud. To this end, we may also use the services of external service providers.

Social media

If you use social media such as Facebook, you can use the 'like and share' buttons on alphaess.be to share articles that you find fun, useful or useful with your friends on your social media account. Alphaess.be will not gain access to your social media account. We recommend that you carefully read the privacy policies of the social media parties with whom you have an account, so that you know how your data is used and how you can adjust your settings.

With whom are your details shared?

Sales and installation partners

When you indicate via alphaess.be that you wish to get in touch with one of our sales partners, the partner will receive your name and contact details. The sales partner needs this information to contact you in order to work out a tailor-made proposal.

If you contact our customer service following a delivery by one of our sales partners, we may forward your question or complaint to the sales partner for handling.

Other external service providers

We also use other external service providers to help with various things. Sometimes they will need personal data to do this. We only share the information that is necessary for the job the external service provider is doing for us. We do not sell your information to these service providers or other third parties. And with all external service providers we sign agreements in which we agree what they are allowed to do with the data.

The types of work our external service providers perform for us are:

  • Supporting the delivery of our digital services such as the hosting, maintenance and support of our websites and applications;
  • assisting in our customer service;
  • Supporting our advertising and marketing campaigns;
  • Assisting in conducting customer research and obtaining ratings and reviews;
The government

Sometimes we have to pass on personal data to the government. This may happen first of all if certain government institutions require these data for the performance of their tasks, such as the Tax and Customs Administration. The police or judicial authorities may also need certain data in the case of fraud or abuse. Finally, certain supervisory authorities may gain access to personal data in the context of an investigation.

Only at your request: with other companies

If you wish, we will also pass on your personal details to other companies, for example an installer in your area. We will only do this with your explicit permission.

Where do we store your data?

We store your data within the European Economic Area ("EEA"). However, there may be times when some of the data we collect is transferred to, or stored at, a destination outside the EEA, for example, because one of our third party service providers is based there. Where this occurs, we will ensure that it is done in a secure and lawful manner.

How is your data protected?

Alphaess.be takes many measures to protect your personal data. This applies to both organisational and technical aspects. We use strict access control to ensure that your personal information is only accessible to those employees who need to use it. Do we give your details to someone else? Then we demand that the other party treats your data just as carefully as we do. If you feel that this does not happen, please let us know via our customer service.

What rights do you have regarding your data?
